This position is responsible for providing services that promote college preparedness and completion to middle and high school students, who are mostly first generation and/or low income. Math Matters Enrichment (MME) is designed to provide a successful transition from middle school math to high school math with the assistance of a supplemental math teacher. The MME teaching position is a part-time grant funded position. The teacher works with individual students and/or small groups of students as needed in collaboration with the TRIO advisor to deliver the most effective learning math enrichment instruction. The successful candidate may also be responsible for providing math enrichment to students during an academic summer program. The position will require innovative math lessons and activities that will ensure student engagement and evidence of increase in both proficient and advanced math skills among participants.

Requirements: 

• Two years of experience teaching math to middle/high school students.  

• This position would be expected to work through the through the current school semester.
